My name is Jan Mulberry. I started O.B.N.D. WEAR in 2006, at the young age of 76.
The idea for my business started when I needed to dress up a casual outfit to wear to a party.
I made a poncho with some pretty material to wear over my dress. I recieved lots of compliments and many of the women wanted to know where they could buy one.
At first, I made a few for gifts, but requests continued to pour in – so believing that when opportunity knocks, one should open the door – I opened a door.
Since that day I’ve designed, sewn and sold thosuands of Ponchos & Shawls and have resently added a “New” item I call “Toppers”.

And for those of you wondering why I picked O.B.N.D. Wear for the name of my business…… When at the age of 75 you tell someone you’re starting a business, they look at you like you’re crazy.
